Unselfish Political Leadership

Lord, I pray that our political leaders on every level of government will put party agenda's aside in order to serve their country. Please move on the hearts of our political leaders at the federal level to embrace our President as not being a Republican President or a Democratic President but as our nation's (America's) President. I pray that our leaders will work with one another and place political power, goals, and ambitions in the backseat in order to advance the plans that you have Lord for our country. I pray that you will raise up people to serve our country who are not given to sin and will not practice sin in their lives. I pray that many who are serving today who are corrupt and sold out to sin will be consumed by the love of God and drawn toward repentance and the receiving of your forgiveness. Thank you for plans that will prosper our land and give us, our children, and our children after them both a hope and a future. Thank you for working in our politics through men and women (that you will send) who will hear your voice and seek to carry out your will. Father, I ask you all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Protection for our country from terrorism

Lord, we ask you in the name of Jesus to protect our nation from the hands of evil men and women who are looking for opportunity to shed innocent blood. We pray against those who would seek to use terrorism in order to advance their causes and inflict fear upon people. May those who believe in the use of terrorism, support terrorists, or practice terrorism be consumed by your great love for them and not only realize their sin but repent from it. Lord, we pray that from shore to shore of this great land and for all those who live in the 50 states and U.S. territories to be supernaturally protected from any and all harm.

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
[a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation.
"
